Stripe
Milo can use Stripe billing, payment and customer information through the API key you connect. Choose the access for the task instead of assuming that a Stripe connection should have every permission.
Create a scoped key
In Stripe, open Developers → API keys and create a restricted key with the access you want Milo to have. Then enter it in Connections → Stripe in Milo. Check that the key belongs to the intended account and environment.
The key's permissions are the access boundary. A connection intended for reporting should receive the read access needed for those reports. Enter the key only in the connection form.
Ask a precise billing question
Find the latest invoice for Example Company. Report its status, amount, currency and billing period, and link the source. Do not issue a refund, change a subscription or send anything.
Specify the customer or invoice when names can collide. Keep payment status separate from an invoice being created, sent or due.
Check before money changes
Connecting a key is not an instruction to charge, refund or change a customer's subscription. State any intended financial action separately, with the exact customer, amount and stopping point. Check the Stripe result before retrying an action that may already have completed.
Revoke or replace the key when its scope or owner changes.
Personal payment wallets
This is the Stripe business connection. To connect your own wallet for an authorized purchase, see Stripe Link wallet. A business API key and a personal wallet grant are separate forms of access.
