Work with Milo on WhatsApp
Use WhatsApp to give Milo a task and discuss the result in a conversation. Start with a request that includes the context Milo needs and a clear description of the output.
Open the conversation
- Open Milo on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp destination published on the Milo product page.
- Continue in WhatsApp and send your request.
- Follow any setup instructions presented in the conversation before asking Milo to use an account or tool that needs access.
For a first task, use information you can provide directly in the message. That lets you check the result before adding connected accounts or more steps.
Try a small task
Here is an illustrative request using fictional project notes:
Turn these notes into a short project update for my review. The target launch is Friday. Training is complete. Operations has not approved the launch. Include what is finished, what is blocked and the next action. Keep Friday as a target. Do not send the update to anyone.
Check that the draft keeps the approval outstanding and the launch date conditional. If it misses either point, reply with the correction before using the update.
For a meeting brief or another task using your own records, name the meeting, account or source clearly. See Write a useful request.
When the task needs connected data
Sending a WhatsApp message does not grant access to your email, calendar or files. Account access depends on the connections and permissions available to Milo. Review Connections before authorizing a provider.
If you already have a Hexagon account, use that account for any sign-in step the setup presents. If you are unsure which account the conversation is using, contact support before sharing account-specific information.
Review the next action
Say whether you want a draft, a comparison or a completed action. If you want to review something before it is sent or changed, include that instruction in the request. See Permissions and approvals.
Check any final confirmation in the destination app when a task changes an external record. If a reply is delayed, check what happened before repeating the action. You can return to the Milo web app for web access or use Troubleshooting and support for help.
