Microsoft 365
A Microsoft work-account connection lets Milo use the Microsoft 365 permissions you or your administrator approve. Microsoft shows the requested access on its consent screens.
Connecting Outlook and files is distinct from adding Milo to a Teams conversation.
Connect your Microsoft work account
- Open Connections in Milo and choose the Microsoft connection.
- Sign in with the work account that holds the mailbox and files you need.
- Review Microsoft's requested permissions and complete the consent flow. If approval is required, ask your Microsoft administrator to review it.
- Return to Milo and try a task using a message or file you know, such as the example below.
This connection provides Outlook and file access. Adding Milo to a Teams chat or channel is a separate installation; see Microsoft Teams.
Available work depends on your permissions
| Service | Documented use |
|---|---|
| Outlook mail | Read, organize, draft and send under your instructions. |
| Outlook calendar | Read your schedule and create or update events. |
| OneDrive | Find, save, organize and edit supported files; share with a named person. |
| SharePoint | Search and read sites you can already access. SharePoint access is read-only. |
| Contacts and directory | Resolve people and work addresses using authorized information. |
Mailbox settings may also be available with permission, such as automatic replies, time zone and working hours.
Start with a bounded task
Read the latest customer email and the proposal in my OneDrive. Prepare a reply that answers their open questions. Flag any question the proposal does not cover, and show me the draft.
Check the source files and sending account before the next action. If a capability was added after you connected, reconnecting may be necessary to approve its permission.
Administrator involvement
Your organization's policies can require administrator approval. An administrator can also remove Milo from Teams or revoke its Microsoft 365 permissions.
You can disconnect the Microsoft account inside Hexagon to stop further access through that connection. Stored information is handled separately under the application privacy policy.
