SEMrush

Connect SEMrush when a task calls for domain, keyword or backlink research. The connection makes that research available in Milo; it does not establish that your own site has received traffic or improved its search position.

Connect your account

In SEMrush, find the API key under Subscription info → API units. Open Connections in the Milo app, choose SEMrush, and enter the key in the connection form. Keep it out of messages and shared research documents. Your SEMrush account must have the API access needed for the requested research.

Frame a useful comparison

Compare these two domains for our target country. Identify relevant keywords and backlink differences, and show the dates and source of each finding. Keep estimates separate from our own measured traffic.

Specify the domains, country or market, and topic. A broad keyword list is less useful than a comparison tied to an audience and a concrete question.

Check the evidence

Ask Milo to retain the underlying domains and keywords so you can inspect surprising results. Missing provider data is not a zero value. Compare search research with your own reporting before treating an opportunity estimate as an observed business outcome.
