Connect ClickUp to read tasks, lists and comments, create or update tasks when instructed, and use supported task-change notifications in ongoing work.

Connect your personal token

In ClickUp, open Settings → Apps → API Token and copy your personal token. Enter it in Connections → ClickUp in Milo.

If you joined a workspace after creating the token and Milo cannot see it, create a new token and update the connection. Check a known task in the intended workspace before proceeding.

Define a task precisely

Create a draft task plan for the launch checklist in the named list. Include titles, owners and due dates only where my notes specify them. Show the plan before creating tasks.

For direct updates, identify the task and fields. ClickUp can supply events for task creation, status moves, assignment, due-date changes and comments; tell Milo which event matters and what to do when it occurs.

Review the resulting state

A notification about a task does not itself define the next action. State whether to summarize, notify you or prepare an update, and specify the audience. Check the task after a write before repeating a request following a delayed reply.

Token permissions and workspace membership continue to limit access.
