GitHub

Milo can read repositories, issues and pull requests available to the GitHub credential you connect. Use this to prepare an issue summary, review the context of a pull request or follow work across named repositories.

Connect repository access

Open Connections → GitHub and enter a GitHub personal access token with the repository access needed for your task. Organization policy may require additional approval for the token or the repositories it can access.

Confirm access by asking for a known repository and issue. Successfully identifying your GitHub account does not prove that a private organization repository is available.

Scope a repository task

In the named repository, summarize the open pull requests linked to the release issue. Show their status, outstanding reviews and links. Do not comment, push or merge anything.

Use repository names or links, issue numbers and a clear stopping point. When asking for a code change or external action, define that action separately; a connection is not an instruction to modify every repository it can reach.

Read and write permissions

The token controls what is possible. A read-only token is suitable for research but cannot support requested writes. Do not broaden access merely because a repository is missing until you have checked the token's organization and repository selection.

Update or revoke the token when repository access changes.
