# Mailchimp

Inspect Mailchimp audiences, campaigns and members in Milo.

Connect Mailchimp when you want to review audience, campaign or member information with Milo. Begin with a specific audience or campaign so the answer keeps the right account context.

## Connect Mailchimp

Create an API key in Mailchimp under **Account → Extras → API keys**. In the [Milo app](https://app.joinhexagon.com), choose **Connections → Mailchimp** and enter the key in the connection form. The current connection card uses a key; do not assume another sign-in or email connection grants Mailchimp access. Never paste the key into a prompt or campaign content.

## Review an audience question

> For this audience, summarize the member information relevant to our upcoming announcement. Separate subscription states and identify missing fields. Give me a review summary without changing members or sending a campaign.

Specify the audience and intended use. If you are reviewing a campaign, include its name or identifier instead of relying on a similar subject line.

## Respect the source state

Keep subscription status attached to the underlying member record; presence in a list does not by itself mean a person should receive a new message. The card documents visibility into audiences, campaigns and members. It does not promise campaign creation, subscription changes or sending. Verify any proposed action's availability and intended recipients separately.
