# Linear

Use Linear issues for engineering status, follow-ups and clearly specified updates.

Connect Linear to give Milo access to the issues and teams available to your authorized account. Milo can read work and perform supported issue updates when the connection permits them.

## Connect Linear

Open **Connections → Linear** and complete the authorization flow. Confirm the workspace, then ask Milo to read an issue you know. Private teams and restricted issues remain governed by the access granted in Linear.

## Name the team and issue

> Review the open issues in the Platform team for the release milestone. List blockers, owners and target dates from the records. Link each issue and flag anything without an owner.

If you ask Milo to create an issue, name the destination team as well as its title, description and intended status. Teams can have different workflows and similarly named states. Do not assume a team from an unrelated prior task.

For an update, give an issue link and the exact change. Ask for a preview when you want to review wording or scope first.

## Company learning is separate

A personal Linear connection is not a company-wide sharing rule. Company Brain's Linear source is configured by a company administrator and learns from public teams. See [Company connections](https://joinhexagon.com/docs/company-connections.md).

If an issue is unavailable, check team membership and source permissions before concluding that it was deleted.
