# Fitbit

Read synced Fitbit steps, sleep and heart rate with Milo.

Connect Fitbit to ask Milo about steps, sleep and heart rate that your device has already synchronized. The connection reads this information; it does not change your Fitbit records or device settings.

## Connect the health account

Open **Connections** in the [Milo app](https://app.joinhexagon.com), choose **Fitbit**, and complete the offered Google authorization flow for the account holding your Fitbit information. Allow the requested access to steps, sleep and heart rate, then check the connection state in Milo.

This health permission is separate from signing in with Google or connecting Gmail. Authorization availability can depend on the account and provider requirements. Follow the current connection message if access is unavailable rather than reconnecting an unrelated Google app.

## Ask for a clear comparison

> Show my recorded steps and sleep for the last seven complete days, with dates and units. Highlight missing records and summarize the heart-rate information available for that period.

Specify the period and remember that an unsynced device can leave an apparent gap. Missing data and a measured zero are different results.

## Check the source

Compare unexpected values with the original Fitbit record before relying on the summary. Ask Milo to keep measurements distinct from interpretation. This connection is for reading your synced data, not continuous live device monitoring or writing new health entries.
