# Fireflies

Read Fireflies transcripts, summaries and action items and use newly available notes.

Connect Fireflies to work from meeting transcripts, summaries and action items. Milo can also notice when new meeting notes become available; processing and periodic checks mean this should not be treated as an immediate transcript delivery guarantee.

## Connect Fireflies

Copy your API key from **Settings → MCP & API** in Fireflies. Open **Connections → Fireflies** in Milo and enter it in the connection form. Keep the key out of chat.

Use an account whose meeting visibility matches the work you want Milo to do. The key does not grant access to meetings that account cannot read.

## Produce a useful meeting output

> For the Fireflies meeting titled “Launch review” on Tuesday, extract the decisions and action items. Preserve stated owners and dates. Show the source and mark anything that was only proposed.

If you want an ongoing follow-up, define the condition and output explicitly: which meetings count, who should receive a draft and whether delivery requires your review. See [Recurring work](https://joinhexagon.com/docs/recurring-work.md).

## Check missing information

A missing transcript can mean processing is incomplete or sharing does not permit access. Confirm the meeting in Fireflies before assuming it contains no relevant information. After changing account permissions, retry a known meeting to confirm the connection now has the intended reach.
