# Apollo

Find people and companies and inspect their details through Apollo.

Apollo helps Milo search for people and companies and retrieve their details. Use a clear research brief so the result is a relevant shortlist rather than an undirected contact export.

## Connect Apollo

Create an API key in Apollo under **Settings → Integrations → API**. Open **Connections** in the [Milo app](https://app.joinhexagon.com), select **Apollo**, and enter the key in the connection form. Use your authorized Apollo account and check its API access. Never include the key in a prospecting prompt or shared spreadsheet.

## Define a focused search

> Find companies matching these size, industry and geography requirements. For each, identify an appropriate role and show which details are available. Explain why each result matches, and mark uncertain or missing fields.

Give the actual criteria and how many results you need. If you already know a company, include its domain to reduce ambiguity between similarly named organizations.

## Review before using contact details

Treat returned information as source data to check, not proof that a person still holds the same role or wants to be contacted. Finding a contact does not send a message. Keep list research separate from outreach, and share only the details needed for the task. Ask Milo to retain source identifiers for later verification.
