# Airtable

Read Airtable bases and records selected for your personal access token.

Milo can read Airtable bases and records made available by the personal access token you connect. Use a named base and table to avoid combining records that happen to have similar labels.

## Connect the relevant bases

Create an Airtable personal access token with the scopes and base access needed for the task. Enter it in **Connections → Airtable** in Milo. Confirm the connection by asking for a specific table or known record.

A token's resource selection matters as well as its scopes. A valid token may still be unable to see a base that was not included.

## Ask for a traceable answer

> In the named base and onboarding table, list records missing a start date. Include the record name, owner and source link. Do not fill in dates or change records.

When asking for a calculation, specify the relevant fields and how blanks should be handled. A display value, linked record and formula result can represent different information; ask Milo to explain which it used.

## Keep access limited to the task

The listed card provides base and record reads. Any requested write additionally depends on the token's permissions and the supported API operation. Do not interpret successful search as permission to edit every field.

If a table is missing, review the token's resource access before replacing the data elsewhere.
